The newest mixed-use development in the Uptown, called The Epicenter, will soon begin opening its doors for business. This city block sized development sits in the heart of the Uptown on College St between Trade and 4th St on the site of the former Convention Center. This latest development will eventually feature a condo, a boutique hotel, shopping, restaurants, a cinema, and bowling alley. The restaurants and entertainment with scheduled openings are listed below:
Building A (Corner of Trade & College) 3rd Floor Whiskey River – opening in March SWEET Night club – opening end of April Howl @ the Moon – opening end of April Bella Vitte (Italian restaurant) – opening April or May
Building B (Facing College Street) 1st Floor BOA Branch – opening end of April Black Fin (2 story Irish Pub) - opening in April Fudgery- opening in April Cold Stone Creamery – opening in April 2nd Floor Smoothie King – opening in mid April B Gallery (women’s clothing store) – opening mid April Women’s Shoe Store (name has not been decided) opening in April 3rd Floor (top) Roof Top Terrace (public venue for guests to rent) & will have live concerts as well– opening in March
Building C (College & 4th) 1st Floor Flemings Steakhouse (Part of Outback) -opening in April Nail Salon (name not determined yet) - opening in April Hair Salon (name not determined yet)-opening in April Sundry Shop (name not determined yet) - opening in April PJ’S Coffee & Wine (nice coffee & wine bar & will showcase local talent at night) - opening in April 2nd Floor Jason’s Deli – opening in end of April AT&T Concept Store – opening end of April Space above the 2nd Floor will be office space
Building D (Corner of 4th & light rail) 1st Floor Bowling Alley (not Lucky Strike) – opening in May Flying Biscuit – opening in Late April or May Shane’s Rib Shack – opening in May 2ND Floor Wild Wing Café – opening in April Five Guys – opening in April 1ST Charlotte Physicians – opening in April 3rd Floor Movie Theater (2 story upscale for adults with a full service restaurant and VIP Bar area) Name has not been determined yet – opening in either June or July
Building E (at light rail & Trade) 1st Floor CVS – opening end of May or June 2nd Floor Clothing store (name not determined) – opening May/June Tai restaurant (name not determined) – opening May/June 3rd Floor Office space There are an additional 47 spaces for lease in the E building with 2 major restaurants that are in the process of signing leases. One is a Mexican and the other is American Cuisine. The rest of the space will be either retail or office space.
The walkway connecting the Omni Hotel to the Epi Center will be completed the end of March and will be a covered walkway ( not enclosed) The underground parking garage, which is 4 levels and has 1000 parking spaces, is already open. |
