Bank of America recently purchased the parcel of land between 5th and 6th Street next to the Bobcats Arena. The proposed plan is to construct a parking deck with street level retail. The project will be similar to the 7th St Station which is home to Brixx Pizza, Aquavina, and Reid’s. No timeline for construction has been released.
Construction at The Park Condominium has stopped. Contractors have sued the developer Pete Verna in order to obtain payment for services rendered. Until the issue is resolved, construction will not progress. The park is on hold…again. Construction is underway for Vue Charlotte. Footings are being drilled and poured and construction crews are active on the site. Should everything go as scheduled, occupancy could begin in 2010. Avenue Uptown is down to less than 10 units for sale from the developer. It wasn’t very long ago that the complex was sold out. When it can time to close, nearly 10% of buyers walked away from their contracts. In all, there are approximately 40 units on the market (just over 10% of total). A new development is coming to NoDa. Mercury NoDa is a new condominium development in the heart of NoDa. The six story 125 unit first phase will face Davidson St in downtown Noda. Units will range in size from 500-1,000 sf. Prices are slated from the low $100’s. |
